Near the Jesus Boat Museum our tour bus brought us to a pier for charter boat rides on the Sea of Galilee.

We explored the shores until our scheduled time to board.

After a morning of trekking through ruins and taking in an exciting museum, the hum of the boat’s  motor, the hazy, lazy feel of the sky and gentle sway of the sea were a dangerously relaxing experience.

It’s no wonder Jesus slept.

But the crew had a rousing antidote for the occasion. They led in Jewish singing and dancing on board.

–Not as dramatic an awakening as a storm, but plenty effective for mortals and the occasion.

A lot of fun for all, especially the grandchildren!

It was a great day and place to be following in the footsteps of Jesus.
